Creative Production Director

We are looking for an experienced, driven and influential director-level project manager to join our digital production team in the New York office. Leading the project management team across multiple locations and time zones in delivering the very best digital creative for a number of global clients. The Creative Production Director will report to the VP, Creative Consulting and will have a team of two Project Managers to lead and nurture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end ‘hands-on’ project management of both small and large-scale projects throughout their life cycle; From the initial scoping phase, through planning, estimating and budgeting, scheduling, design & development, and full implementation.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management and smooth running of Celtra Studio’s accounts; Ensuring our clients are receiving the highest individual attention and ensuring that we deliver, as a team, quality projects on time, on budget and on brief.
  • Scope creative projects with clients; understanding their individual requirements and creating accurate documentation, including creative design briefs, technical specifications and strategies.
  • Deliver operational excellence; With the ability to anticipate potential issues and dependencies, highlight project risks, and manage to change business and technical requirements by effectively suggesting solutions or contingency plans at the appropriate stage of projects.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years hands-on production or project management experience at a senior level, preferably in a digital agency or an advertising technology environment.
  • Be authoritative and efficient; Ability to direct and lead others confidently and have tough conversations with our team and our clients, where appropriate.
  • Be analytical with great attention to detail; Ensuring consistent improvement in the quality of our output.
  • Oversee the development of each account and increasing the volume of work when appropriate. Spotting and developing opportunities with our clients, turning projects into platform clients.


Numbers and attention to detail

  • Strong numeracy skills; For estimating, scheduling, production and invoicing purposes.
  • Excellent understanding of commercial processes; delivering successful projects every time.
  • Expert at own time management and setting own and others work goals;
  • Managing resource planning and raising issues (I.e. under/over resourcing, project slip, scope creep, etc).
  • Producing appropriate documentation in support of creative projects including project and resourcing plans, risk and issue logs, functional and technical specifications, and regular project/client and KPI status reports.
  • Be confident working alongside the development team to specify and document new functional and technical solutions.
  • Be familiar with multiple technology platforms and digital strategy, i.e. CMP’s, DCO, creative automation and creative production technology.
  • Inputting to and organizing testing to guarantee quality of delivery to clients.
  • Have exceptional communication skills – both internally and client-facing.
  • Motivate and encourage the studio team to deliver ‘right-first-time’, online solutions for our clients.
  • Mentor junior members of the studio team.

Project Management Skills / Experience
Should hold at least one professional accreditation from either:

  • Scrum Alliance as a Product Owner or Scrum Master
  • PMI (Project Management Institute)
  • APM (Associate for Project Management)
  • Prince2 (foundation or practitioner)
  • Take project governance seriously and always looking to find better ways of working


Computer skills required:

  • Proficient in Asana or other project management software
  • Working knowledge of digital design and production software
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (not essential)
